Cumin-Roasted Cashews

An easy, energizing snack!

Serves: 6, Prep Time: 5 minutes, Total Time: 15 minutes.


  • 1 ½ lbs. cashews

  • 2 tsp. cumin seeds

  • ½ tsp. cayenne

  • 1 tbs. dark brown sugar

  • 1 tsp. salt

  • 1 tbs. butter (melted) or coconut oil / ghee


  1. Bake cashews on 1 large baking sheet for 10 minutes at 375°F. Shake pan once or twice.

  2. Warm a small skillet over medium high. Add cumin seeds. Toast, shaking pan constantly until seeds are darkened for around 1 minute. When cooled, chop finely on a cutting board.

  3. Combine seeds, cayenne, brown sugar, salt, and butter in a large bowl. Add warm cashews. Stir. Let cool and serve.
