Homemade Ketchup

Equally tasty ketchup without all of the sugar!

Serves: 4, Prep Time: 15 minutes, Total Time: 1 hour 5 minutes.


  • 2 cartons Pomi tomatoes (pureed or crushed)

  • ½ onion (chopped)

  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tbs. brown rice syrup

  • 1 tsp. ground allspice

  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon

  • 1 tsp. ground cloves

  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper

  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Bring all ingredients to a boil, stirring to dissolve. Reduce heat to simmer for 50 minutes until thick. Blend with a blender or food processor. You can freeze what you won't use in a month.
