Scallops with Citrus Sauce

A fancy meal that you can make at home!

















Serves: 4, Prep Time: 5 minutes, Total Time: 15 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 8 tbsps. olive oil

  • 6 tbsps. orange juice (use tbsp. to zest)

  • 2 tbsps. lime juice

  • 2 small shallot (finely chopped)

  • 1 tbsp. Cilantro (chopped)

  • ⅛ tsp. chili flakes

  • 8-10 scallops

  • 1-2 tbsps. olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste


Directions


Citrus Dressing

  1. In a small bowl, combine and mix 8 tbsp olive oil, 4 tbsp orange juice, lime juice, shallots, cilantro, and chili flakes. Set aside.


Scallops

  1. Heat 1-2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the oil with salt and pepper.

  2. Add the patted dry scallops and sear for 1-2 minutes until golden. Turn over.

  3. Spoon flavorful dressing over the scallops. Serve with green beans or asparagus cooked your favorite way!
